The SecuGen Hamster IV (HSDU04P) is one of SecuGen’s most popular and versatile USB optical fingerprint readers, engineered for secure network login, enterprise single sign-on, and high-integrity government or financial enrollment. Powered by patented SEIR (Surface Enhanced Irregular Reflection) optical technology and an advanced SDU04P contact sensor, it captures high-resolution, distortion-free fingerprint graphics designed to minimize error rates and reject latent or fake 2D spoof prints.
Complete with a removable weighted stand and an integrated finger guide, the device supports Smart Capture technology to dynamically self-adjust illumination for difficult-to-read skin (dry, wet, or scarred fingers). It also features Auto-On finger detection capabilities to initiate scans seamlessly upon physical touch.
